Accordion Shutters
provide excellent storm protection, security, sound and light
control. They are most often secured from the outside but can
be secured from the inside easily when the opening is a sliding
window or door or a door that swings in when opened. This limitation
could effect second floor closing with windows or doors that swing
outward. Accordion shutters can have a significant impact on the
architecture of a building. Careful installation design is recommended
to minimize that affect. They are permanently stacked at the sides
of each opening and can be secured quickly.

The High Rise Accordion
Shutter is an economical alternative to protect your
investment. It is a very strong and durable shutter that moves
horizontally between an upper and lower track.
It requires stack space on either
or both sides. Interlocking aluminum blades make up the protective
wall of the shutter.
The accordion shutter glides along
on tracks and a wheel assembly attached at the top provides easy
free gliding movements.

Roll-Up Shutters are
by far the most convenient and easiest storm shutter product available.
The roll up shutter can be designed to fit virtually any opening,
and it can be operated manually with crank handles from inside
or outside of the building. Electric motors are also available,
allowing the user to totally automate the operation with timed
opening and closing. Wind sensors that close the shutters when
a wind exceeds a certain preset value are also an option. Due
to the ease of operation, roll-up shutters are used in many applications,
including security, light and sound control and insulation. Properly
installed roll-up shutters have a minimum impact on the architectural
integrity of a property.

Bahama Shutters
are designed to open and close by use of 2 telescopic arms. These
arms can be adjusted to allow more or less sunlight into a room,
depending on your personal taste. When a hurricane threatens,
the thumbscrews loosen quickly to allow the Bahama Shutters to
be lowered and then are secured shut at the bottom with locking
pins.
An added advantage
of the Bahama Shutter System is the reduction in fading carpets
and furniture, as well as reducing the energy required to cool
your home in the summer. Because the Bahama Shutters are made
of aluminum, it will not require constant upkeep like a wooden
shutter. Further, it is lightweight, which allows for easy of
use.

Colonial Shutters
are made with the advantages of being lightweight yet they have
the great strength of aluminum. Colonial Shutters are held in
the open position by a clip system. Once a hurricane threatens,
you simply fold them shut and apply storm bar to the back of the
shutters.
The advantage of the Colonial Shutters
is that it is permanently installed on your home and they do not
have the maintenance problems associated with wooden shutters.
Additionally, if you have double
hung windows, these shutters can be fastened from the inside of
your home reducing the need for ladders. Unlike the traditional
wooden Colonial Shutters, these aluminum shutters do not rot and
will not need painting maintenance.

Storm Panels are
simple and effective hurricane shutters. They are most often secured
outside but can, in some situations, be designed for inside closure
on sliding glass doors and windows. Storm Panels can be installed
vertically or horizontally, whichever provides maximum protection
for each opening. They can be permanently installed using headers
and sills or can be installed using the Tampin® Brand Machine
Screw Anchor. This is a simple fastener that installs a threaded
attach point for a sidewalk bolt to hold the panels in place. The
use of Tampins® reduces the architectural impact on the property
as no hardware shows except for the head of the sidewalk bolt. Panels
must be safely and securely stored when not in use.
